Primo Olivieri, the oldest known living man in São Paulo, Brazil, was presented with LongeviQuest plaque today at his home in Ibirá.

Olivieri was born in São Paulo City, on 7 March 1914. His father was of Italian descent, while his mother was born in Italy. Olivieri worked as an aviation mechanic and received a Medal of Honor for his service from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB). He also contributed to the maintenance of planes that were utilized during the Second World War. He was tasked with overseeing the maintenance of all engines that powered the flights at VASP, a Brazilian airline.

When asked about the secret to longevity, he simply replied, “Don’t die.”

At the moment, he is the second-oldest known man in Brazil, after João Marinho Neto, who is currently the world’s oldest living man. Olivieri is also the fourth-oldest living man in the world whose age has been validated.

We would like to congratulate Mr. Primo Olivieri and wish him many more years of health and happiness. We also extend our thanks to his family for sharing the recent photo and video.
