Luis Cano, a resident of Linden, New Jersey, is turning 111 years old today, as announced by Mayor Derek Armstead on social media. Cano is currently the oldest known living man in the United States and is therefore regarded by LongeviQuest as the primary candidate for official recognition as the nation’s oldest man, although validation is still underway.
Luis Cano was born in Colombia on 9 December 1914.
Following the passing of Eugene Baltes (Illinois) on 29 December 2024, he became the nation’s oldest known living man, shortly following his 110th birthday.
