Atilio Zepeda Navarrete, a resident of Palmdale, California, celebrated his claimed 111th birthday on 25 November. Should his age be verified, he would be recognized as the oldest living man in the United States.
The Antelope Valley Press published a news article about him on 23 November, just two days before his birthday.
Zepeda Navarrete claims to have been born on 25 November 1913, in La Paz, El Salvador. His mother passed away during his childhood, and his father died in the 1930s. From the age of 7 or 8, he worked on the family farm and also trained and sold horses. Later, he married Roselia, with whom he had seven children. Their marriage lasted 59 years until her passing in 2009.
In 1990, he relocated to the United States and settled in Palmdale, California, where he lives with his daughter Mariana.
He credits his longevity to healthy living, humility, and faith in God. When asked about his diet, he humorously remarked that he only enjoys corn tortillas and salt.
Currently, no documentation verifying his age has been located, so LongeviQuest has not validated his claim. As of now, the oldest validated living man in the United States is Eugene Baltes of Illinois, who celebrated his 110th birthday last October.
Nevertheless, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to him and his family and wish him many more years of health and happiness.
