Ernestine Berry, a resident of New Hyde Park, New York, celebrated her 110th birthday on 28 February, according to News 12 Long Island.
Berry was born in Alabama, on 28 February 1915, the eldest of 12 children. At some point, she relocated to California, where she worked as a bus driver, before permanently moving to New York, where she spent 50 years as a teacher’s assistant.
Berry had one son, and at the age of 108, she also had five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
