Gertrude Williams, a resident of Winter Haven, Florida, celebrated her 110th birthday on 14 January. Her birthday was reported by the Lakeland Ledger.

Williams was born in Quincy, Florida, USA, on 14 January 1915. Shortly after her birth, her father and eldest brother embarked on a scouting trip to Lakeland in search of better economic opportunities. Convinced he could secure a more prosperous future there, her father soon returned to bring the rest of the family, including her four other siblings. Initially, the family lived in a modest four-room house. However, as the household grew too crowded, her parents decided to rent a larger home to accommodate everyone.

Williams attended Washington Park High School, completing her studies up to the 10th grade. Her father cultivated crops that sustained the family, providing all of their food. Throughout her adult life, Williams worked primarily as a maid and nanny. Though she married once, she did not have any children of her own.

LongeviQuest extends warm congratulations to Gertrude Williams on her 110th birthday.
