Kaneko Yagi was a validated Japanese supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in Nagasaki Prefecture at the time of her death.

Kaneko Yagi was born on 1 January 1914 in Japan.

She spent much of her life working in agriculture, cultivating crops such as rice and mandarin oranges while raising eight sons and one daughter.

When she was around 90 years old, she moved into a nursing home established by her eldest son. By the time she reached the age of 109, her hearing had deteriorated significantly, but she maintained her daily routine of reading the newspaper and exercising along with watching TV programs.

Kaneko Yagi passed away on 25 September 2024 in Minamishimabara, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, at 110 years old.
