Bertie Thierry was a validated American supercentenarian born on 22 April 1880 in Bridgeport Township, Lawrence County, Illinois.
On 22 August 1897, at the age of 17, she married Albert B. Thierry, and had four children with him.
Thierry attributed her longevity to “being good all my life. I never stepped aside in any way.”
She never drank alcohol or smoked and wasn’t particular about food. Even at 110, she maintained a healthy appetite, starting each day with two fried eggs for breakfast.
Bertie Thierry passed away on 8 February 1992 in Mount Vernon, Illinois, United States, at 111 years old.
