Hana Satō is a validated Japanese supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in Semboku City since November 2019.
Hana Satō was born in Japan on 30 April 1914.
Her 106th birthday party was held at a nursing home, where she expressed her ambition to live to be 110 years old. On her 109th birthday, she changed her goal to 120, and it was reported that she had a good appetite. She is also known to drink beer during the Respect for the Aged Day celebrations. Every year on her birthday, her family attends a party and sends her congratulatory flowers and birthday messages.
Satō has been the oldest living person in Semboku City since November 2019.
On her 110th birthday, she was the second-oldest living person in Akita Prefecture, behind Fumi Seino of Ōdate City.
