LongeviQuest is pleased to announce that Bernice Sebastian, the oldest living Saint Kittian and Nevisian, has her age validated at 110 years old.

Bernice Rosalind Eugene Sebastian is an American supercentenarian born in Saint Kitts and Nevis on 21 September 1913.

Sebastian never married nor had any children. For a span of 9 years, from 1932 to 1941, she served as an assistant teacher at the Basseterre Boys’ School. In 1941, she became the Headmistress at the Dieppe Bay Infant (Primary) School. She managed the school for 25 years before moving to Irish Town School where she stayed until she retired in September 1969.

When Sebastian’s mother died, she left Saint Kitts to move to Nova Scotia, Canada, to live with her sister. For around 27 years of living in Canada, he later moved to Queens, New York. Five years later, he moved again to Barryville around 2005 and to Philadelphia finally in 2011. At the age of 100 years old, Bernice had a pacemaker implanted  inside of her.

Bernice Sebastian is currently residing at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United  States.
