LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Masu Usui at 112 years old. She is a Japanese supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Masu Usui was born on 18 December 1910 in Oyama, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.

Masa Usui has been familiar with literature since she was young. She is writing tanka poems about her daily emotions and the scenery of Mount Fuji. She also remained active in her daily life even at the age of 105 years old.

On 12 September 2014, she was visited by the Mayor of Oyama who presented her with a bouquet and a commemorative gift to honor her being the oldest person in the town. She became the oldest living person in Shizuoka Prefecture on 25 December 2022 after Kahoru Furuya passed away.

Masa Usui was currently residing at a nursing home in Oyama, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
