New Validation: Manoel de Sousa Lima (1912-2022) of Brazil

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Manoel de Sousa Lima at 110 years old. He was a Brazilian supercentenarian born on 15 August 1912 in Várzea Alegre, Quixeré, Ceara, Brazil.

He was baptized three days later after his birth to parents Francisco Honorato de Lima and Maria Inacia de Jesus. His great-grandfather, Joaquim Rufino da Silva Maia (also known as Quinco Honorato) was a founding figure in his birth town.

He married Raimunda Josina Moreira (17 May 1910 – 25 November 2012) on 10 January 1933. His marriage with her wife lasted for about 80 years until she passed away at the age of 102 years old on 25 November 2012.

He maintained his independence as he was still able to walk with the help of a cane at the time of his 110th birthday in 2022.

Manoel de Sousa Lima passed away on 28 October 2022 in Quixeré, Ceara, Brazil, when he was 110 years old.
