LongeviQuest is glad to report the addition of Sylvia Corfield to our ever-growing directory of supercentenarians. She was an English supercentenarian born on 21 November 1912 in Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom. The European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) has validated the age of Sylvia at 110 years.

Her parents Thomas and Mary Aston had three children and she is the eldest after her younger brother and sister. Their family ran the village grocery store and bakery at that time.

She worked as a typist in Birmingham Pre-World War II and as the war emerged, she worked for British Motor Company that supplied the tanks for the forces.

She married Douglas Corfield on 20 September 1947 and the couple had no child together. The two of them lived in Birmingham but later moved to Rochdale. After her husband passed away in 2008, she lived by herself until 2019.

She later moved to Highfield House Care in Heywood, Greater Manchester, England, in January 2020 where she lived until her own death on 18 December 2022. LongeviQuest extends their congratulations to the family of Mrs. Corfield on this posthumous recognition.
