Marie-Rose Tessier, France’s Oldest Living Person, Celebrates 113th Birthday

Marie-Rose Tessier recently celebrated her 113th birthday last 21 May 2023 in Chateau-d’Olonne. The European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) has validated her age on 8 February 2021. After Lucille Randon’s death on 17 January 1904, Marie-Rose became the oldest living person in France.

She was born as Marie-Rose Bousseau in a farm in Beaurepaire, Vendee, Pays de la Loire, France. Marie-Rose married Auguste Tessier on 14 November 1927.

She retired and lived in the Paris region together with her two daughters, but she is now staying in Chateau-d’Olonne, Vendee, Pays de la Loire, France.
