Hulda Källberg was born in Torsång, Dalarna, Sweden, on 9 January 1911. She worked as a hairdresser until the age of 80 and also had a passion for baking and a keen interest in the royal family.
In 1932, she married Evert Teodor Källberg. The couple went on to have three children: Gunn-Britt (born 1932), Sten Lennart (born 1933), and Kjell Evert (born 1938). After getting married, she moved to Ornäs, and five years later, the family came to Falun, where she spent the most of her life. In 1973, she bought her house, where she was still living as a centenarian.
At the age of 99, she had difficulty walking and spent much of her time at her kitchen table. After fracturing her femur a few years earlier, she started using a walker for mobility. Prior to that, she used to walk around the neighborhood. As of April 2015, when she was 104, her family spanned six generations.
Hulda Källberg passed away in Falun, Dalarna, Sweden on 18 November 2021, at the age of 110 years, 306 days.
Källberg’s age was verified by Jimmy Lindberg and validated by the ESO on 26 January 2021.
At the time of her passing, she was the second-oldest living person in Sweden and and the Nordic countries, after Flarid Lagerlund.
