Yone Saitō (Japanese: 齋藤ヨネ) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Yone Saitō (齋藤ヨネ) was born on July 10, 1910, in Arasawa Village, Iwate Prefecture, Japan, which is now part of Hachimantai City. In 1927, at the age of 17, she married Kikimatsu, and they were blessed with nine children. She helped with farm work and remained physically active until around the age of 70.

At the age of 100, she reportedly attended a day service center four times a week, and visiting hot springs was one of her pleasures. In an interview with the Iwate Nippo, her grandchild described her as a grandmother who was loved by everyone.

Following the death of Yuki Aizawa of Morioka City on May 8, 2019, at the age of 110, Saito became the oldest known living resident of Iwate Prefecture.

On August 29, 2020, Saito passed away from natural causes in Hachimantai City, Iwate Prefecture, at the age of 110 years and 50 days. After her death, Chiyono Kamono of Ofunato City became the oldest known living resident of the prefecture.
