RECOGNITION

On 21 June 2019, following the death of 111-year-old Toshiko Hayashibara of Daisen, Yasuda became the oldest living person in Tottori Prefecture, aged 110.

On 13 February 2020, at the age of 111 years, 104 days, she surpassed the age of Yoshi Terai, becoming the oldest person ever in Tottori. She held the title until November 2020, when her age was surpassed by Natsuko Sakai (who also succeeded her as the oldest living person in the Prefecture).

Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Yu Li and Ryohei Asano, and validated by LongeviQuest on 22 July 2023.
