BIOGRAPHY

Osaki was born in Japan on 2 March 1914. She passed away on 3 March 2024, a day after her 110th birthday.

RECOGNITION

In November 2022, when a 110-year-old lady from Tottori City went to limbo, Osaki became the oldest living person in Tottori Prefecture. The passing of the anonymous lady was not publicly reported by the Prefecture. However, Osaki was later confirmed again as the oldest living resident during Respect for the Aged Day in September 2023.

Upon her passing, Haruko Tanaka, who was only six days her junior, succeeded her as the Prefecture’s oldest living person.

Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Ryohei Asano, and validated by LongeviQuest on 2 April 2024.
