BIOGRAPHY

Tessaku Tominaga was born in Japan on 7 December 1903.

Tominaga was visited by the governor of Nara Prefecture in 2008 and 2013, and the mayor of Sakurai City in 2010, in celebration of Respect for the Aged Day. Responding to a question about his favorite food during the governor’s 2013 visit, he replied, “I’ll eat anything.” He was reportedly fond of Japanese rice cakes. On this occasion, he received a congratulatory letter and gifts.
