Spanish Man Jesús Redondo Bermejo Celebrates 110th Birthday

BIOGRAPHY
María Guadalupe Olvera Barrón was born in the neighborhood of Tacubaya in Mexico City, on 17 December 1909. Her parents were Francisco Olvera and Eutiquia Barron. Her mother lived to be 102, and her sister Cleofas (1902–2002) passed away at the age of 99.
At some point, she got married and had three children. In her free time, she loved dancing and played the mandolin. She attributed her longevity to staying positive, being happy, and drinking plenty of pulque. Even at 100, she was still cooking. Even shortly before turning 110, she was still able to walk with the assistance of another person. At the age of 110, she had 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
On 2 July 2021, she was visited by Edder Aguilar (who would later become a correspondent at LongeviQuest).
María Guadalupe Olvera Barrón passed away in Mexico City, on 30 July 2021, at the age of 111 years, 225 days.
RECOGNITION
Her age was initially listed as pending validation on the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS) as of 12 January 2020. The validation process was completed through the efforts of Stefan Maglov, Fabrizio Villatoro, Edder Aguilar, and Jeffrey Xu, and her age was officially validated by LongeviQuest on 7 October 2024.
