Kathryn Geyer was an American supercentenarian.
Kathryn Geyer was born in Alverton, Pennsylvania, USA, on 15 September 1903 to parents Thomas Jefferson Shirer and Kate Breegle. She had eight older siblings: Bertha Spiers, Ann Steffey, Albert, Lillian Coughanour, Carl, Lauretta Gribble, Cadet, and Burnetta Remaley.
Geyer worked as a schoolteacher in the Scottdale School District for 35 years. She was a devoted member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Scottdale, where she taught adult Sunday School, belonged to the Isabelle Thoburn Circle, and volunteered in many capacities throughout the years.
She was also a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 383, where she served as Worthy Matron and remained active for 87 years. At some point, she married Horace K. Geyer.
Kathryn Geyer passed away in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, on 7 August 2015, at the age of 111 years, 326 days.
