Florence Potts was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently under review by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Florence Potts was born on 8 November 1881 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan to parents James H Potts, a Civil War veteran and editor of the Michigan Christian Advocate newspaper, and Alonsa Cole.

In the 1920s, her family moved to a cottage north of Algonac. She never married, but helped raise her nieces and tended to her family’s garden. She only worked briefly as a pianist at a nursery. In older age, her niece Jean Ross helped take care of her. She moved to Marine City at age 93. She moved to Faith Medical Care Center in East China, St. Clair County, at age 103, where she remained until her death.

Her sister, Alice Ross, lived to age 100.

Florence Potts died on 2 March 1992 in East China, Michigan at the age of 110 years, 115 years.
