BIOGRAPHY
João Zanol was born in Muniz Freire, Espírito Santo, Brazil, on 13 October 1907. He worked both in Espírito Santo and São Paulo, specializing in metal structures and carpentry. In 1929, he served in the 2nd Infantry Regiment, now known as the 2nd Motorized Infantry Battalion, in Rio de Janeiro. The following year, he returned to his hometown.
At 110, he had three living children, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
João Zanol passed away in Muniz Freire, on 12 February 2020, at the age of 112 years, 122 days.
