BIOGRAPHY

Woods was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, USA, on 25 January 1904, the only child of Charles D. Tramp (1872–1965) and Anna Tramp (1880–1940).

After graduating from Benton High School in 1922, she began her career as a bookkeeper at Lamborn, Murray, and Davis Livestock Commission Company. She dedicated 40 years of service to the company before retiring in 1968.

On 30 July 1930, she married Henry Edwin Woods in Chicago, Illinois. They made their home in St. Joseph until her husband passed away on 19 June 1958.

Woods was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church. She was also a member of several organizations including the Areme Chapter of Eastern Star, for which she was honored with a 50-year pin in 2014, the Social Order of Beauceant (a Masonic Order of Women), and the Needles Buffs of Moila.

Woods passed away in St. Joseph, Missouri, USA, on 19 June 2014, at the age of 110 years, 145 days.
