Germaine Jeanne Monnier (née Bernard) was a French supercentenarian who was the oldest known living person in the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Her age was validated by LGCF and ESO, and later recognized by LongeviQuest.

Monnier was born as Germaine Bernard on 8 March 1913 in Besançon, Doubs, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France.

She passed away in Besançon in the department of Doubs on 3 October 2023 at the age of 110 years, 209 days.

RECOGNITION

Monnier was confirmed privately to have reached 110 by Les Grands Centenaires Français. Her name was not publicly known until after her death.

Her age was verified by Guillaume Legris of Les Grands Centenaires Français, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation on 20 January 2026, and later recognized by LongeviQuest on 8 February 2026.
