Emma Jefferies (née Toone) was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.
Emma Jefferies was born in Chase City, Virginia, on 11 August 1899. She was one of 12 children born to parents William Toone and Delia Fields. She went to school in the same city and then taught in the Chase City Public Schools. In 1920, she moved to Yonkers, New York. Jefferies was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church in New Rochelle for 80 years, as well as a Sunday school teacher. Employed during World War II, she was an assembler in the Munitions Industry in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Emma Jefferies died in New Rochelle, New York, on 20 August 2011, at the age of 112 years, 9 days. She was survived by one daughter and grandchildren, and some other family members.
