Conceição da Silva Felizardo was born in Laranjais, Itaocara, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 11 August 1917 to parents Sebastião Francisco Felizardo and Benedicta Rosa da Silva. She was the second eldest of ten siblings. From childhood, her life was marked by work on the farm and dedication to her family, helping her parents support the family. She didn’t have the opportunity to attend school, but she learned life’s most valuable lessons early on: the importance of hard work and honesty.
She married João Rodrigues, with whom she built a large family. From this union, ten children were born: Erval, Nilson, Nilton, Nilva, Nilda, Nair, Nildo, Nadir, Neuci, and Nilce. Around the 1980s, she left the farm and moved to the community of Lavrinhas, in the city of Cordeiro, Rio de Janeiro, where she continued cultivating her roots with love and simplicity. She continued planting, sewing, washing clothes, crocheting, and growing flowers.
With unwavering faith, Dona Conceição was always a devout Catholic, known for her serenity and for never failing to pray the rosary. She found joy in the simple things in life: watching her plants bloom, gathering with her children and grandchildren, walking around the block, sharing moments of prayer, and dedicating herself to crocheting while telling stories.
At the time of her 108th birthday, she had 28 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
On 14 December 2025, she was visited by a representative of LongeviQuest, Iara Souza.
She currently lives in Cordeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Her age was verified by Gabriel Ainsworth and Iara Souza, and validated by LongeviQuest on 29 September 2025.
LongeviQuest offers gratitude to Vilma Orphão de Mattos for her cooperation in the validation.
