Benedicta Bertoluchi Machado is a Brazilian semi-supercentenarian.
Benedicta Bertoluchi Machado was born at Fazenda São Clemente, in Descalvado, São Paulo, Brazil, on 4 August 1917. Her parents were Lindolpho Bertoluchi (died 30 July 1958) and Alice Conceição Bittencourt (died 17 July 1951). Her father was born in Italy. She spent her childhood on the farm, where she attended primary school and helped with coffee harvesting and weeding. The classroom also served as a venue for small dances held on weekends. Deeply religious, she was devoted to Saint Anthony.
Her husband was João Machado (17 July 1917 – 21 December 2004). They had three daughters. At the age of 42, she moved to the city, where she worked as a laundress and ironer, cleaned chickens, and even assisted in two childbirths.
At the age of 108, she had two living daughters, 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She currently lives in Descalvado, São Paulo, Brazil.
