BIOGRAPHY

Aldesina Rossi was born in Senigallia, Marche, Italy, on 14 March 1909. At some point, she married Enrico Verdini. She spent her life in the countryside, dedicating her days to working in the fields. A mother of four children (including Evelina, Gina and Nello), she was widowed in 1992. Until 1970, she resided in Ostra.

On her 110th birthday, her son, Nello, and daughter-in-law, Graziella, organized a special lunch featuring all her favorite dishes. The event was honored by the presence of Liana Serrani, the former president of the Province and mayor of Montemarciano.

Aldesina Rossi passed away in Montemarciano, Marche, on 19 July 2019, at the age of 110 years, 96 days.

RECOGNITION

On 4 September 2018, following the passing of 110-year-old Luisa Romano, she became the oldest living person in the region of Marche. Upon her own passing, she was succeeded by Domenica Ercolani.

Her age was validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 22 July 2021.
