Carme Noguera Falguera, a resident of Vic, Barcelona, Spain, celebrated her 112th birthday yesterday, according to 3Cat and Regió7.

Carme Noguera Falguera was born in Olot, Girona, Catalonia, Spain, on 22 August 1914. When she turned 19, she enrolled in the School of Nursing and completed a two-year internship there. When the Spanish Civil War broke out, she was working at the clinic, spending most of that time treating tuberculosis patients. Afterward, she returned to Olot, where she devoted herself to caring for the sick and assisting midwives.

Eventually, she married, and the couple moved to Vic in 1951. They had three children.

At the moment, the is the third-oldest living person in Spain, after Teresa Fernandez Casado and Felicidad Hernández Corredera, both of whom recently turned 113.
