Concepción Lax Pina, a resident of Murcia, Spain, celebrated her 111th birthday on 14 April, according to la7tv.es.
Concepción Lax Pina was born in Senda de Granada, Region of Murcia, Spain, on 12 April 1915. She was born into a farming family as the eldest of nine siblings. She lived in her hometown until the age of 29, when she married Andrés Valera Cascales. Together, they had two daughters, Carolina and Chitina. Before her marriage, she assisted her father, who worked as a carter. After getting married, she balanced household responsibilities with helping her husband run his transport delegation, which he operated from their home.
Sometime before turning 110, possibly following the passing of Obdulia Carpena Gascón on 19 June 2023, she became the oldest known living person in the region of Murcia.
