BIOGRAPHY

Francisco Mamerto Reynoso was born in Palmarito near Salcedo, Hermanas Mirabal Province, Dominican Republic, on 8 May 1914 (claimed 22 March 1911). His father, Apolinar, had 33 children in total from different marriages – Francisco was the first of nine children from one of his father’s marriages.

Around 1940, he married Aurelia Almánzar, whom he met while attending the Santa Eduvigis festivities in El Algarrobo, Moca. The couple had 12 children. He supported his family by working in agriculture.

Reynoso passed away in Palmarito near Salcedo, Hermanas Mirabal Province, Dominican Republic, on 17 July 2024, at the age of 110 years, 70 days.

RECOGNITION

His age was verified by Stefan Maglov and James Roberts and validated by LQ on 12 May 2023. His age was originally pending by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS).
