Rosaria Martorana, the oldest living person in Sicily, Italy, passed away in Ragusa on 19 December, at the age of 111 years, 53 days. Her passing was first reported by Ragusa News.

Martorana was born in Ragusa, on 27 October 1914. She married and had four children, all of whom she outlived. She remained in regular contact with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, some of whom she connected with via video calls.

Following the passing of Francesca Fioriglio on 16 July 2025, she became the oldest living person in Sicily.

Upon her own passing, she was succeeded by Maria Giovanna Cerami, according to Supercentenari d’Italia.
