Cesarina Saccardi, a resident of Lucignano, Tuscany, Italy, passed away on 31 August, at the age of 110 years, 87 days. Her passing was first reported by Supercentenari d’Italia.
Cesarina Saccardi was born in Rapolano Terme, Tuscany, Italy, on 5 June 1915.
On her 110th birthday, she was reported to be alert and in good health. She received a commemorative plaque and a bouquet of flowers from Mayor Roberta Casini, who had offered to personally deliver the award to her home. Politely, she declined, saying she preferred to visit the Municipality herself, as she wanted to do what everyone else does. When asked about the secret to her longevity, she quipped, “Husbands are demanding and I am a young lady…”
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Cesarina Saccardi during this difficult time.
