Fannie Jones, Oklahoma’s Oldest Resident, Turns 112

Fannie Jones, a resident of Oklahoma City, USA, celebrated her 112th birthday on 21 August, according to the Facebook page Centenarians of Oklahoma.

Jones was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, on 21 August 1913. She met her husband, construction worker Leroy Jones, through a friend in Arkansas. She worked as a field cropper whilst raising their children.

In early 2024, when Lois Boston—then Oklahoma’s oldest resident—moved to Kansas, Jones likely became the oldest living resident of Oklahoma.
