BIOGRAPHY

Jones was born on 21 August 1913. She met her husband, construction worker Leroy Jones, through a friend in Arkansas. She worked as a field cropper whilst raising their children.

As a supercentenarian, Jones’ favourite song is ‘Amazing Grace’ and she enjoys eating beans, cornbread, and spaghetti.

RECOGNITION

Jones was recognised by Centenarians of Oklahoma to be the second-oldest person in the state in November 2022. She was again presented with a certificate by the organisation on her 110th birthday.
