Isidora Méndez Herrera, a resident of Carmelo, Colonia Department, Uruguay, is celebrating her 110th birthday today, according to Radio Carmelo 1460 AM.
Isidora Méndez Herrera was born in Colonia Department, Uruguay, on 22 July 1916. In her youth, during the women’s suffrage movement in Uruguay, she was a member of Aparicio Saravia’s committee in Carmelo, going from house to house encouraging women to vote.
