Manuel Martínez Milán, the oldest living man in Puerto Rico, celebrated his 110th birthday yesterday in Campanillas, Toa Baja. His birthday was first reported on Facebook by Betito Márquez, Mayor of the Municipality of Toa Baja.

Manuel Martínez Milán was born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, on 18 June 1916. He married Delia Martínez Álamo, with whom he had five children, the youngest of whom, William, was born in 1956.

At the age of 106, he had nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also known by his family and friends as “El Gran Chucho.”

On 11 December 2024, following the passing of 109-year-old Andrés Irizarry Troche, he became the oldest known living man in Puerto Rico.
