Takeko Miyazawa, the oldest living person in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, passed away in Aoki Village on 23 February, aged 112 years, 239 days.
Takeko Miyazawa (宮澤たけ子) was born in Aoki Village, Nagano Prefecture, on 29 June 1913. After getting married in Osaka, she gave birth to a daughter in 1944, but tragically lost her husband to the war eight months later. Following this, she returned to her hometown of Aoki Village, where she lived with her daughter until her final days. Until around the age of 100, Miyazawa remained physically active and worked in the fields.
In September 2025, Miyazawa was reported as the oldest living person in Nagano Prefecture.
