Marie-Louise Rose André, a resident of Orcières in southeastern France, passed away on 9 July, at the age of 112 years, 266 days.

André was born as Marie-Louise Rose Jouglard in Orcières, a commune of the department of Hautes-Alpes. Her parents were Camille Marius Dit Cordonnier Jouglard (1877–1917) and Marie Nélie Chevalier (1877–1936). Her father died during World War I in 1918, and she was raised by her mother and aunts.

André married her husband, Eugène Marius “Jean” André (1907–1989) on 8 July 1933. The couple had two children, Camille and Jean.

At the time of her passing, she was the oldest living person in the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Upon her passing, she is likely succeeded by Samuele Goustille.
