Pedro Molina Márquez, a resident of Chacantá, Mérida, Venezuela, is celebrating his 110th birthday today. He is now the second known male supercentenarian from Venezuela, after 114-year-old Juan Vicente Pérez Mora, who passed away in 2024.
His grandson told LongeviQuest that the family and he prepared for lunch with his eldest son and the parish priest of the Chacantá community was invited to his birthday celebration.
Pedro María Molina Márquez, born on 27 April 1915 in Chacantá, Mérida, Venezuela, was the eldest child of Francisco Molina Molina and Leocadia Márquez Contreras. Over the course of his life, he worked in a wide range of roles, including day laborer, farmer, rancher, horse breeder, coffee grower, bricklayer, winemaker, and landscaper.
He had two marriages and more than 15 children, several of whom — including Fermín, Balbina, Olegario, Pedro, Yackelin, and Oliva — became teachers serving the community of Chacantá.
LongeviQuest warmly congratulates Pedro María Molina Márquez on reaching his 110th birthday. We hope he spent the day surrounded by loved ones and continues to enjoy many more years of good health and happiness. We sincerely thank his family for sharing recent photos and keeping us updated on his well-being.
