Nechama Grossman (Hebrew: נחמה גרוסמן), a resident of Arad, Israel, passed away on 24 April, reportedly at the age of 110. Her passing was reported by Israel Hayom and ynet.
Her exact date of birth was not reported, with sources differing between 1914 and 1915. Before the outbreak of World War II, she reportedly lived in a small village in what is now Belarus. She married before the war and was pregnant when the Germans arrived. They fled the village and managed to survive. She had two sons, including Vladimir Schwatz. She immigrated to Israel from Belarus in 1990. By the time she immigrated, she was already elderly and had been a pensioner in the Soviet Union. After arriving in Israel, she settled in the city of Arad.
She was survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Nechama Grossman during this difficult time.
