Enelle Smith, the oldest living person from the British Virgin Islands (a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean), celebrates her 106th birthday today, 22 December, in Tortola. Her birthday was announced on Facebook and Instagram by the Honourable Vincent Wheatley, Minister of Health and Social Development.
Smith was born on 22 December 1918.
In September 2024, she was among seven centenarians from the Overseas Territory honored by the Social Development Department for reaching the remarkable milestone of 100 years, with her being the oldest among them. At the time, she was one of only two 105-year-olds in the British Virgin Islands, the other being Emogene Creque, a former politician who is seven months younger.
LongeviQuest extends warm congratulations to Enelle Smith on her 106th birthday.
