LongeviQuest is pleased to report that the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) has validated the age of Irma Vanderhaegen on 25 August 2024.
Irma Vanderhaegen was born on 26 June 1887 in Ghent, East Flanders. Belgium.
On 1 February 1911, she married Camille Carteus and had three children with him. She was widowed in 1961, after 50 years of marriage.

On her 107th birthday, when the nursing home management informed her that she was the oldest woman in Belgium, she reportedly shed a tear.
Irma Vanderhaegen passed away on 11 November 1997 in Ghent, East Flanders, Belgium.
