Ryū Sawazaki was a validated Japanese supercentenarian known as the second-oldest living person in Shizuoka Prefecture at the time of her death.
Ryū Sawazaki was born on 15 December 1902 in the former town of Okabe (now part of the city of Fujieda), Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
She was a lifelong tea farmer which led her to remain physically fit throughout her life. At 109, she still has strong legs and can do things independently. At 110, her life revolves around watching sumo and soccer on TV.
Sawazaki attributed her longevity to eating everything, whether she liked it or not.
Ryū Sawazaki passed away on 13 November 2013 in Fujieda, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
