Maria Aulenbacher was a validated German-born American supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in South Carolina at the time of her death. She was also known as the oldest living German-born person.
Maria Aulenbacher was born on 7 November 1909 in The Taunus, Hesse, Germany.
In 1937, she was married to August Aulenbacher with whom she had two children with. She was widowed at 36 years old which left her raising the children alone.

Aulenbacher remained active and independent well into old age and continued to shop, perform household chores, and cook her own food as a centenarian. As a supercentenarian, her hobbies included reading, needlepoint embroidery, and watching her great-grandson play soccer.
Maria Aulenbacher passed away on 8 February 2023 in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, USA.
