LongeviQuest is pleased to announce that the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) has validated the age of Jan van Ierland at 110 years. He is a Dutch supercentenarian known as the oldest living man and person in the country.

Joannes Franciscus Alphonsus Aloysius “Jan” van Ierland was born on 5 May 1914 in Tilburg, North Brabant, Netherlands.

He studied physics in Delft, then gained an interest in psychology and chose to pursue the field. He worked as a graphic designer.

Van Ierland became the oldest living person born in the Netherlands upon the death of Marina van der Es-Siewers on 11 March 2024. In May of that year, he became the first native Dutch male to attain supercentenarian status since Cornelis Geurtz in 2012.

Mr. Van Ierland curently lives in Bloemendaal, North Holland, Netherlands.
