LongeviQuest is deeply saddened to report that Mrs. Isabel Alvarado López of Venezuela passed away at the age of 112. She was the oldest (documented) woman to have lived in the country. 

Alvarado López was born on 9 August 1911 in the village of San Nicolas, Portuguesa State, Venezuela. 

Alvarado López worked as a teacher until she met her husband, Rafael Bordón. When she was about 28 years old, she moved to Caracas where she gave birth to her only daughter. She worked on many fields such as in Ministry of Public Works, Santa Ana Clinic, Agricultural and Livestock Bank, and in Ministry of Communications.

Isabel Alvarado López passed away on 12 December 2023 in Caracas, Venezuela.
