New Validation: Takio Hamatani (1902-2014) of Japan

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Takio Hamatani at 111 years old. She was a Japanese supercentenarian recognized as the oldest living person in Fukui Prefecture at the time of her death. She was also the former oldest person ever in the prefecture before Tsuhi Hori surpassed her final age.

She was born in Japan on 1 November 1902.

The Prime Minister of Japan presented her a certificate and a commemorative gift as her 100th birthday gift. She was also listed in Fukui Shinbun as one of the 100 centenarians in Fukui Prefecture.

Takio Hamatani passed away on 16 July 2014 in Sakai, Fukui Prefecture, Japan.

At the time of her death, she was 111 years old.
