LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Concetta Rafter at 110 years old. She was an American supercentenarian born to Italian immigrant parents on 1 January 1910 in Brooklyn, New York, USA.
A doctor told Rafter’s mother when she was 8 years old that she wouldn’t live much longer. On the contrary, her mother gave her a special diet of chicken, goat milk, and raw egg, and she lived.
She worked as a seamstress during the early part of her life and volunteered much of her time at Holy Child R.C. Church in Eltingville.
At some point in her life, she had a son named after her husband when she married Patrick Joseph Rafter. When she was 65 years old, she learned how to drive so that she could assist in raising her four grandsons when their mother died.
Concetta Rafter passed away on 22 April 2020 in Staten Island, New York, USA. She was 110 years old and was staying at Clove Lakes Health Care & Rehabilitation Center when she passed away.
