Nardi was born in Simbario, Calabria, Italy, on 14 October 1912. He had four children from two different marriages.
When asked about the secret of his longevity, he attributed it to a life far away from anxiety and worries.
Nardi passed away in Simbario, Calabria, Italy, on 2 November 2023, at the age of 111 years, 19 days.
